Haaaai. I told you I’d finally get round to commenting in a half-serious manner…

Beginning: Faintly Caribbean theme… or Hawaiin. I’m picturing hula dancers… Well… you know what I mean… Then they become slightly space-age hula dancers. (I’m tired.)
I like the continuity of rhythm while the shifting instruments allow for progression… progression to what? Not sure yet. But that’s okay. Bizarre is okay. I like how after a couple of minutes you start to use more blurry-sounding instruments (that’s the technical term) … sort of creates a dazed effect (as though the space-age hula dancers are dancing out of control! :| )
Middle: Shift in rhythm is nice! But I also like the overlay of the new rhythm on the old one – makes for a nice transition back to familiar territory. Piano-y sound is nice but I wonder if you could play around with it a little more, with quirkier melodies at around the half way point – just a few notes – just before it fades out… I’m sure you know exactly where I mean. :P
End: Again, slight blurrines is nice… as is the sound moving between my left and right headphones… though it makes me a bit dizzy. I’m not convinced that “dizzy” isn’t a theme. :( :P Getting to the end with a much busier original sound actually works better than I thought it would, but I wonder if it lasts slightly too long here… though I do very much like the clean ending and the fade at the end. Helps to alleviate the dizziness… or maybe that’s just because it’s late and I’m tired and you’re in bed, drunk. :| :O
